​​Katie Baek is an artist and fashion designer based in New York City. She recently completed her BFA in fashion design at the Parsons School of Design. Her subject matter sheds light on the transformative cycles of death and rebirth, influenced by her background with religion, institutionalism, and connection to the mind-body-soul. With a keen awareness for how the wearer's existence in time and space is altered through fabric manipulation, line, shape, and form, Baek reflects upon a transcendent vision of reality.

Whatrealyhapened is a promise to tell stories, as they are, of daily life, of inherited memories, of ancient recognitions, and of all from which the continuation of soul flows. Through clothing, we decorate our bodies enhancing our capabilities to act as our authentic selves, living in alignment with the stories we are made of, and made to tell.
